Visit the Bedford Museum and Genealogical Library in person. We are located at 201 E. Main St. in heart of Centertown Bedford, adjacent to the Courthouse in the beautiful three-story red brick building. We have a parking lot next to our building and handicap access in the rear of the building.

          From the West (Roanoke area) take 460 East to the first Bedford Exit (left exit). Stay on that road (Blue Ridge Ave becomes West Main St and then East Main St). We are just past the third light on the left.

          From the East (Lynchburg area) take 460 West to the first Bedford Exit (just past the light at Walmart). At the bottom of the exit, turn right on East Main Street and stay straight. We are just before the third light on the right.

          From the South (Rocky Mount/Smith Mountain Lake area) take Route 122 North. Stay on 122 North until it comes to a T intersection at West Main St. in Bedford. At the T intersection, turn right. Stay on the West Main Street, we are just past the second light on the left.

          From the North (Big Island/Natural Bridge area) take Route 122 South. Stay on 122 South until you come to T intersection with East Main St. At the T turn right. Stay on the East Main Street, we are just before the second light on the right.
